Prosecutor's Office
Welcome to the Newton County Prosecuting Attorney's Office. The Prosecuting Attorney's staff includes three Attorneys, two Investigators, an Administrative Assistant, a full-time Child Support Enforcement Caseworker and a File Clerk.
Rebecca G. Goddard was elected Prosecuting Attorney in July 2023 and is responsible for prosecuting all traffic tickets and criminal offenses that occur within the 79th Judicial Circuit, which encompasses Newton County, Indiana.
Additionally, the Prosecuting Attorney is tasked with providing child support enforcement in the county courts.
