Newton County Offers One-Stream Recycling.

One-Stream Recycling means residents do not need to sort their recyclable materials but instead can drop off their clean compact recycling at one of the seven different locations.

The Current Recycling Drop off Locations ACCEPT the Following Items:

  • No Plastic Bags - recyclable items go into containers loose
  • Corrugated/Smooth Cardboard
  • Clear, Green, and Brown Glass
  • Paper, Magazines, Newspapers
  • Steel and Aluminum Cans
  • Plastics #1 - 5 and#7 (NO #6 Plastics or Styrofoam, Clothing, or Garbage)

Current Drop off Locations:

  • BROOK: South Side of Water Tower
  • GOODLAND: Between Main Source Bank and Post Office
  • KENTLAND: East Goss Street
  • LAKE VILLAGE: West of the Lake Township Fire Station
  • MOROCCO: North of the Newton County Highway Garage 
  • ROSELAWN: East of Kellar Street, East of Ceres Solutions and Generations Center (north site of parking lot)
  • MT. AYR: Chicago Street

Electronics, Appliances, Tires, Oil, Oil Filters, and Antifreeze should be taken to the Newton County Highway Department

When in Doubt, Keep it out!!!
